Dr. Amaka Akinade, DNP, FNP-C, CWON-AP, is a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner and advanced practice wound and ostomy specialist with more than 15 years of experience. She founded Prodigy Wound & Specialty Care Consulting to expand access to specialized wound and ostomy care through clinic-based care, telehealth, mobile/home visits, education, and strategic healthcare partnerships.
Her work is guided by a passion for evidence-based care, health equity, and empowering patients, providers, and communities to achieve better outcomes and an improved quality of life.

Prodigy supports patients with post-surgical wounds, chronic wounds such as diabetic or pressure ulcers, and ostomy-related care. Each case is assessed individually to determine the best approach.
